DANCE 1DNC
You will explore the elements of dance, complete performances of dance sequences learnt in different styles, and develop the use of ensemble skills within choreography and performance. Through these skills you will develop control and discipline, and work collaboratively. You will need to have a good attendance in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

MUSIC 1MUS
You will focus on developing instrumental/vocal performance skills, as a soloist and a member of a group. You will also work on all-round musicianship and have the opportunity to develop compositional skills, using Sibelius software. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

DRAMA 1DRA
You will focus on performance and devising skills, will both study and perform a significant play, exploring a specific theatre form, and there will be a number of opportunities throughout the year to watch professional live theatre in support of the assessment work you will do. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

LEVEL 2 SUBJECTS OFFERED

DANCE 2DNC
You will build knowledge and understanding in a selection of dance genres as well as developing choreographic and performance skills. Your work will cover choreography, group performance and solo dance, and also working as a team to develop a repertoire of dances. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

MUSIC 2MUS
You will focus on developing instrumental/vocal performance skills, as a soloist and a member of a group. You will also work on all-round musicianship, and have the opportunity to develop compositional and arranging skills, using Sibelius software. The Level 2 Music programme can be tailored to suit your strengths. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. You will focus on drama techniques, responding to live performances, investigating theatre forms, and developing understanding of script work and scriptwriting. You will develop key skills including resilience to challenge, confidence, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

LEVEL 3 SUBJECTS OFFERED

DANCE 3DNC
You will build knowledge and understanding in a selection of dance genres as well as developing choreographic and performance skills. Your work will cover choreography, group performance and solo dance, and also working as a team to develop a contrasting repertoire of dances that can be performed repeatedly. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.

MUSIC 3MUS
You will focus on developing instrumental/vocal performance skills, as a soloist and a member of a group. You will also work on all-round musicianship – training the ear to recognize and analyse musical features and elements as well

as improving individual ability to read, write and analyse notation from a variety of scores. You will also have the opportunity to develop compositional and arranging skills, using Sibelius software. You will need to have a good attendance rate in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements. This course only offers Internal assessments.
